Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, now represents 201 important companies, Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. The list of all Member companies, subdivided as per name and production, is available in the area "Members' List".
The main aim of ASSOCOMAPLAST is to promote worldwide the knowledge of the Italian plastics and rubber processing technologies that are at the top of the world market, in terms of production and export outputs.
Through its commercial company PROMAPLAST srl, ASSOCOMAPLAST publishes the monthly technical magazine MACPLAS and MACPLAS INTERNATIONAL (www.macplas.it) which, with a total circulation of 47,000 copies in 7 different editions, in as many languages - from English to Arabic - ensures the world market coverage.
Moreover, PROMAPLAST srl organizes every three years the international exhibition PLAST in Milan (March 24-28, 2009), which is the second largest in Europe and has reached the fifteenth edition (www.plast09.org). In 2006 PLAST recorded 65,853 visitors from 125 countries and 1,551 exhibitors from 50 countries.
ASSOCOMAPLAST, through CESAP (Centre for the Development of Plastics Applications), organizes technical training activities, supports researches and new applications of processing technologies and new materials etc..
Finally ASSOCOMAPLAST, on behalf of UNI (Italian Institute for Standardization), runs the Technical Committee "CEN/TC 145", which draws up European safety standards for plastics and rubber machinery.
ASSOCOMAPLAST is Member of CONFINDUSTRIA (Confederation of Italian Industry) and EUROMAP (European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics and Rubber Industries - www.euromap.org).
