Positive 2007 balance
According to the statistics worked out by the sectoral association ASSOCOMAPLAST, the positive trade balance of the sector in 2007 exceeds 2 billion euro, with an increase in pro-duction of 9% and a growth in export of 15%, in comparison with the previous year.

On the occasion of its meeting on March 6, 2008 the Board of Directors of the Association has accepted the application of ISOTEX spa-Colombo Division and SIMPLAS spa. Consequently, ASSOCOMAPLAST Members are 196.

On Thursday February 21 and Friday 22, in a room of hall 34 of Fiera del Levante in Bari, the first edition of "PLASTICS IN AGRICULTURE" Conference took place. The event had been organized by PROMAPLAST srl (ASSOCOMAPLAST commercial company).

A good year
The statistics recently published by ISTAT reveal an increase of 21% in export and of 2% in import of machinery, equipment and moulds for plastics and rubber.
According to such data, the sectoral association Assocomaplast has estimated a positive trade balance at around 2 billion euro for 2007.

Impulse to export
The six-monthly statistical data, released by the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery and moulds manufacturers' Association (ASSOCOMAPLAST), show a great increase of export compared to the first half of 2006, with particular reference to sales in markets that rank at the top of the Italian machinery main destination countries.
