March 2012 - Steady growth

The 2011 final balance for the Italian plastics and rubber machinery industry confirms the forecasts worked out some months ago by Assocomaplast. Last year, exports grew by more than 20% compared to 2010 whilst the domestic market remained unchanged (+0,9% in value).

December 2011 - Full speed ahead

Assocomaplast has derived projections for production, imports, and exports in the sector for the entire year 2011 on the basis of data from the Italian National Statistics Institute (ISTAT) for the first nine months of the year, which highlight excellent performance in exports and general stability of the domestic market.

September 2011 - Upswing around the world

According to the figures analysed by Assocomaplast, in the first half of 2011 Italian exports in this sector grew exceptionally well, up approximately 22%.

June 2011 - Annual Assembly

During its annual assembly chaired by Giorgio Colombo - on Wednesday June 15, 2011 - Assocomaplast amended its statute, renewed its committee for the period 2011-2014 and announced the promotional program of the Association for the upcoming months.

March 2011 - Balance at +10 for the Italian industry

The final 2010 balance for the Italian plastics and rubber processing and recycling machinery industry shows a firm recovery, even higher than expected in previous forecasts, with respect to 2009.

December 2010 - Encouraging New Year's eve

According to Assocomaplast, ISTAT data for January-September 2010 confirm the recovery in Italian foreign trade of plastics and rubbery machinery, equipment and moulds.

July 2010 - Again positive signals

According to Assocomaplast, ISTAT data related to the January-April 2010 period confirm the recovery of the sector, including import-export results, after the serious crisis that hit the industry throughout 2009 and well beyond.

February 2010 - Restart out of breath

According to the estimates worked out by Assocomaplast, on the basis of preliminary ISTAT data related to the sector's foreign trade in 2009 and the survey on turnover and export for Member companies all along 2009, the comparison with the previous year shows a remarkable slackening for the industry.

September 2009 - Positive signals

According to the statistics released in these days by Assocomaplast, some positive indicators clearly emerge.

February 2009 - Negative forecasts, to be checked in the short term

According to the 2008 preliminary balance released by Assocomaplast Secretariat, in 2008 the sector did not repeat the satisfactory performance recorded in 2007 (being this latter the best one since the year 2000 up today) and production and both sectoral exchange flows should have rather slowed down with respect to 12 months before.
