CEN/TC 145

The Technical Committee TC 145, within the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), deals with the standardization of safety requirements for plastics and rubber machines. We list here below the Working Groups that belong to TC 145 with the updating of their activity.

Injection moulding machines
WG 1 = EN 201:2009

EN 201:2009 was published in the OJEU n. C 309 on 18.12.2009.

Presses
WG 2 = EN 289:2004+A1:2008

The standard EN 289:2004+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. TC 145 decided through an enquiry per correspondence which expired on 21.9.2009 to revise EN 289:2004+A1:2008. On October 26, 2009 Claudio Celata from UNI-ASSOCOMAPLAST was appointed as WG 2 Convenor. The draft standard, drawn up following WG 2 meeting on March 6-7, 2012, will be finalized by the Editing Committee on May 2-3, 2012 for CEN first enquiry.

WG 3 = EN 1114-1:2011

EN 1114-1:2011 was published in the OJEU n. C 61 on 29.2.2012.

Extruders and extrusion lines - Part 2: Die face pelletisers
WG 3 = EN 1114-2:1998+A1:2008 Cancellata/Withdrawn

The standard EN 1114-2:1998+A1:2008 was withdrawn on 7.5.2010, according to BT Resolution C36/2010, as some safety requirements were no longer up-to-date and there was a poor interest from the industry, users and manufacturers, in revising it.  

Extruders and extrusion lines - Part 3: Haul-offs
WG 3 = EN 1114-3:2001+A1:2008

The standard EN 1114-3:2001+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to the decision made by TC in its plenary meeting on 16.2.2011, the standard will be probably revised in 2013. On the subject in autumn 2012 en enquiry will be carried out by TC 145.

WG 4 = EN 1417:1996+A1:2008/AC:2009

The standard EN 1417:1996+A1:2008/AC:2009 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. TC 145 decided in its plenary meeting on December 17, 2009 to revise the standard. On March 22, 2010 Claudio Celata from UNI-ASSOCOMAPLAST was appointed as WG 4 Convenor. Next WG  4 meeting will take place in Frankfurt on September 18-19, 2012.

WG 5 = EN 422:2009

EN 422:2009 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009.

Size reduction machines - Part 1: Blade granulators
WG 6 = EN 12012-1:2007+A1:2008

The standard EN 12012-1:2007+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to the decisions made by TC 145 on 11.12.2011, an enquiry per correspondence has been started, which will close on 23.5.2012, to verify the interest of the industry to revise such standard in 2013.

WG 6 = EN 12012-2:2001+A2:2008 Cancellata/Withdraw

The standard EN 12012-2:2001+A2:2008 was withdrawn on 4.6.2010, according to BT Resolution C41/2010, as some safety requirements are no longer up-to-date and there is a poor interest from the industry, users and manufacturers, in revising it.

WG 6 = EN 12012-3:2001+A1:2008

The standard EN 12012-3:2001+A1:2008 was published in the OJEU n. C 214 on 8.9.2009. According to the decisions made by TC 145 on 11.12.2011, an enquiry per correspondence has been started, which will close on 23.5.2012, to verify the interest of the industry to revise such standard in 2013.

Apart from the standards and draft standards drawn up by CEN/TC 145 (type C), designers shall take into account the "horizontal" (type B) European harmonised standards, of which we attach an updated list.
